Specifying the -msoft-float option changes the calling conventions in the output file. All of the modules of a program must be compiled using this option in order to be successfully linked. You will also need to compile libgcc.a, the library that comes with GCC, with -msoft-float in order to use this option when compiling applications.

When set to ON, columns not explicitly defined with a NULL or NOT NULL in a CREATE or ALTER table statement will default to allow NULL values. The default is OFF, which means a column will be defined as NOT NULL if not explicitly defined. When enabled, a comparison to a null value returns UNKNOWN. The default for this setting is OFF, meaning that comparisons to a null value will evaluate to TRUE when both values are NULL. This option pads strings to the same length prior to inserting into a varchar or nvarchar data type column. The default setting is OFF, meaning that strings will not be padded. This setting impacts a few different behaviors. When ON, any null values used in an aggregate function will raise a warning message. Also, divide-by-zero and arithmetic overflow errors will roll back the statement and return an error message. When this setting is OFF (the default), null values in an aggregate function return no warning and divide-by-zero and arithmetic overflow errors will return a NULL value instead of rolling back the statement.
